Kathryn Dianne Wells, known to her friends and family as Dianne, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2023, in Dothan, Alabama, at the age of 68. Born on April 3, 1955, in Pensacola, Florida, Dianne was a spirited, creative, and intelligent woman who will be remembered for her love of horses, her artistic talent, and her strong will.

Dianne was a 1973 graduate of Dothan High School and continued her education at Auburn University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Art. Her passion for art was evident throughout her life, as she expressed her creativity through various mediums and shared her talents with those around her.

Dianne was a free-spirited individual, and her love for horses was unmatched. She spent countless hours at the Boots and Saddle Horse Club, caring for and riding her beloved horse. Her connection with these majestic animals was a testament to her gentle and compassionate nature.

In her professional life, Dianne was a successful marketing consultant, working with AAA Transportation for several years. She was known for her intelligence and determination, always putting her mind to any task at hand and achieving great results. Dianne lived in Oakwood, Georgia, before moving to Dothan 12 years ago, where she continued to make an impact on her community.

Dianne was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her son, Brandon Wells; her daughters, Stefani Sanchez and Sarah Wells; her three grandchildren, Sebastian Sanchez, Stella Sanchez, and Amelia Wells; her mother, Kathryn Gardner; her brother, David Kirkman; her sisters, Debbie Dillender, Melissia Ames, and Donna Newcomb; as well as several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

As the great Maya Angelou once said, "You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them." Dianne embodied this quote throughout her life, facing challenges with grace and resilience, and inspiring those around her to do the same.

A celebration of Dianne's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share their memories and honor the legacy she leaves behind. Dianne will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit, creativity, and intelligence will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
