Don W. Barham, M.D.

Don W. Barham, M.D., 72, died January 30, 2017, surrounded by his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Multiple Myeloma Foundation or a favorite charity. Details will be announced when Celebration of Life plans are complete.

Don graduated in 1970 from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed his internship at Baylor University School of Medicine. He was a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force 1971-1973; some of his favorite memories were from the two years he was stationed at Andersen Air Force Base on Guam. He has lived in Dothan since 1976.

Don is survived by his wife, Betty; his brother, Jim (Melanie) of Daphne, AL; his son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Heather Barham of Carrollton, GA; his daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Ben Brown of Dothan, AL; his grandchildren, McKenzie Barham and her fiancé, James Hudson Tyler, V, both of Lookout Mountain, GA, Ethan Barham of Columbus, GA, Patten Barham of Carrollton, GA, Luke Barham of Carrollton, GA, Harrison Brown of Dothan, AL, and Claire Brown of Dothan, AL; his beloved honorary brothers Gary Frith, Troy Collins, Mike Woodham, Allen Mitchell, Greg Hendrix and Dr. Joe Fielding; and his beloved honorary grandchildren, Alex Harrington, Maggie Harrington, Katie Harrington and Jessie Harrington all of Warner-Robins, GA.
