Donald Edward “Don” Williams, 57, of Dothan passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Dale Medical Center.

rnFuneral services will be held 10 am Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. rnDon was born October 3, 1954 in Graceville, FL and lived the early part of his life there. He was a 1972 graduate of Graceville High School and was a truck driver for over 20 years. Don has been employed with Southeast Alabama Medical Center for the past 20 years in the security department and also with the Dale County Sheriff’s Department for the past 17 years as a Reserve Deputy. He loved to coach baseball and spend time with his family. He was of the Baptist Faith. rnSurvivors include his wife Gail Williams of Dothan; sons, Adam Williams of Ozark, Andy Williams of Ozark, Matt Williams of Chipley, FL, Mike Shiver of Dothan, and Bartley Shiver of Cottonwood; daughters, Kimberly McCool of Marianna, FL, Connie Williams of Chipley, FL, and Stacy Woodall of Ozark; 16 grandchildren; a brother Lonnie Williams of Houma, LA; sisters, Deborah Sapp of Noma, FL, Brenda Thirot of Bonifay, FL, Judy Beal of Westville, FL, and Donna Oates of Enterprise, AL; several nieces and nephews also survive. rnPallbearers will be Hal Cox, Casey Miller, Ron Johnson, Ben Key, Judy Trawick, Wally Olson, and Garrett Mullins. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
