CW3 Donald V. Clark, 37, of Newton passed away suddenly on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008 in Mosul, Iraq protecting and serving his country.
Graveside services with Full Military Honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Park with the Rev. David Willis officiating and Robert Byrd directing. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, for donations to be made to the Donald V. Clark Memorial Fund at Army Aviation Federal Credit Union.
Don was born in Boardman, Ohio on September 12, 1971 to Donald and Linda Clark. After high school he joined the Navy, serving as a submariner, and then later continued his military career with the Army and primarily as an Aviator and Flight Instructor on the OH-58D. He met and married Jamie Johnson of Memphis, TN in 1991. His passions were his family, his friends, flying, his horses and his Harley. He will always be remembered for his wonderful smile, his big heart and love of life and his ability to make everyone feel appreciated and respected. Don has been a long time resident of Newton, AL and will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife Jamie Clark; sons, Bailey Clark, Jonathan Coradini; daughters Brittany Collins, Danielle Barton; his parents Donald and Linda Clark; a sister Deana Bode; grandsons, Jackson Collins, Caleb Barton; sons-in-law, Andy Collins, Michael Barton.
