Donald Ian Lydick

Donald Ian “Don” Lydick, 81, of Ashford died Wed. Feb. 23, 2011 at a local hospital.

Services will be held 10 am Saturday, Feb. 26 at Howards Grove Church Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday at the funeral home.Mr. Lydick was born October 19, 1929 in Detroit, MI and resided in Troy, MI the early part of his life. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and resided in Ft. Lauderdale, FL prior to moving to Dothan in 1978. He was employed as a truck driver most of his life and retired in 2006. He was an ordained minister with the Church of Gospel Ministry. Mr. Lydick was preceded in death by his daughter Jackie Guilford.Survivors include his wife Mary Lydick; sons, Steve Aimie Lydick and Scott Lydick; daughters, Cheryl Eddie Burke and Wendy David Wiggins; step-sons, Raymond Sharon Guilford, Jimmy Guilford and Larry Guilford; step-daughters, Judy Don Mosteller and Wanda James Martin; brothers, Art Lydick and Chuck Lydick; several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
