Dorene Flucker

Dorene C. Flucker, 71, a resident of Dothan passed away Tuesday January 20, 2015 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold McKissic Sr. and Pastor Christian Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Flucker was born May 8, 1943 in Georgetown, GA and spent most of her young life in Henry County. She moved to Dothan in 1960 when she married James Flucker. She was employed with Sony as a Quality Control Inspector for over 22 years until her retirement in 1999. She was a longtime member of Patterson Street Freewill Baptist Church. She especially enjoyed being in her yard gardening and going to yard sales, spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include her husband James Flucker; a son Dalton Dexter Flucker; daughters, Ella Flucker, Charlotte Flucker, and Jennifer Flucker; grandchildren, Latakia Raashad McKinzie and Thaddeus James Underwood; great-grandchildren, Raashad McKinzie Jr., Kenneth Tyler McKinzie, and Sienna McKinzie; brothers, Archie Virginia Crews, Cleveland Rose Crews Jr., and Willie Marvin Gwen Crews; sisters, Eva Mae Jessie McDonald, Della Mae George Marbury, and Dollie Fay Jimmy McGowan; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, Flucker family members, relatives and friends who also survive and are loved.
