Dorothy Clayton

Dorothy Inez Miller Clayton of Ashford, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at her home. She was 88.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Enterprise Baptist Church with the Reverend David Baker officiating. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. until service time Friday. Burial will follow in the Enterprise Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Byrd of Sunset Funeral Home directing.For many years Mrs. Clayton was an active member of Enterprise Baptist Church, she later attended First Baptist Church of Ashford where she was involved with the Ladies III Sunday School Class. She loved being outdoors working in her yard and caring for her flowers. Family would like her to be remembered as she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor and friend.Mrs. Clayton was proceeded in death by her parents Albert & Nettie Miller, her husband Frank Granger Clayton, and a brother and sister in law Cecil & Reba Miller. Mrs. Clayton is survived by two daughters, Frankie Beth Clayton and Janice Farris, a son in law Carlis Farris Jr.; two grand-daughters and husbands Steve & Carla Arnold and Eric & Lyteasa Easterwood; Mrs. Clayton was blessed with five great grandchildren, Zach Arnold, Taylor Arnold, B.J. Ryals, Matthew Ryals, and Kaitey Easterwood, 2 great great grandchildren, and a God daughter Mary Gordon; four brothers and their wives, Grover & Roberta Miller and Charles Ray & Mary Ann Miller all of Ashford, John & Mildred Miller of Georgia, and Robert & Verline Miller of Florida. Numerous neices and nephews, special friends and neighbors also survive.Serving as active pallbearers will be, Steve Arnold, Eric Easterwood, Zach Arnold, B.J. Ryals, Matthew Ryals, and Joe Vaughn. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
