Dorothy C. Fuller, a resident of Dothan passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at her residence. She was 79.

Funeral Services will be at 3:00 pm on Monday, April 5, 2010 at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Jim Sanders officiating. Interment services will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:30 pm prior to the service in the church parlor. At all other times the family will be at the home of Mark Culver, 306 Montezuma Ave., Dothan. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1380 W. Main St., Dothan, AL.Mrs. Fuller was born on March 28, 1931 in Montgomery, AL. She graduated from Dothan High School where she was the head drum major in the band. She graduated from Huntington College and received Masters from Troy University. Mrs. Fuller was employed in the Dothan City School System for 38 years, teaching 5th and 6th grade at Minnie T. Heard Elementary and Girard Elementary and serving as head of the guidance department at Dothan High School. She was a member of the Dothan Retired Teachers Association and was a devoted member of Foster Street Methodist Church and then First United Methodist Church where she volunteered in the church office, served on the Heritage Committee and at one time sang in the choir. She loved her Church and the friends she made there. She enjoyed going to her mountain cabin in North Carolina, other opportunities to travel, and working in the yard. Mrs. Fuller was an avid Auburn football fan.Mrs. Fuller was preceded in death by her parents Mark and Marguerite Cannon, and her husband Bobby Culver.Survivors include her son Mark Culver and his wife Tami of Dothan; her grandchildren Stephanie Simmons and her husband Justin of Birmingham, Robert Culver of Dothan, Cannon Culver of Dothan; a great-granddaughter Kenadi Holland; her sister Charlotte Blount and her husband Bill of Dothan; nephews, Bill Blount, III and his wife Cindy of Dothan, Steve Blount and his wife Lisa of Helena. Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Blount III, Steve Blount, Randy Church, Richard Morgan, Steve McCarroll, and Bob Whiddon. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
