Dorothy Gohde

Dorothy Gohde, a resident of Dothan passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at her residence. She was 95 years old. Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the services. Mrs. Gohde was born September 9, 1923 in South Bend, WA and lived there the early part of her life. She married her late husband, George, in 1943 and they moved to DuMont, NJ residing there for 12 years working as a bookkeeper in a bank. She lived in Oakland, NJ prior to moving to Dothan and has lived here for over 20 years. She enjoyed taking care of her home, donating to charities, and loved caring for her 2 cats, Shadow and Moxie, and her dog, Maggie. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Richard Gohde, Sr., and a daughter, Galen Gohde. Survivors include her great-grandchildren, Devin Driver, Aden Gohde, Jordyn York, and Bennet Gohde; grandchildren, Chantelle Gohde and Ryon Gohde; a son, Rick Gohde. Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the services
