Dorothy Diane Sims

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Goldsmith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-11 am.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Mamie Brown Davis and Donald Davis; adoptive parents, Evelyn Johnson Lazarski and Stanly Lazarski; her adoptive brother, Donald Lazarski; and her uncle, Mark Brown.

Survivors include her daughters, Angie Dawson (Shannon) Laster and Kristy Dawson (Kyle) Barnette; her grandchildren, Zane Dawson, Nihle Daniels, Phaedra Scott, Seth Scott and Elisha Laster; her great grandchildren, Jax Daniels, Bella Daniels, Zhalil Scott and Jha'Keem Scott; her brother, Richard Davis; her half-brothers, Lonnie Miller and Michael Miller; her half-sisters, Wanda Miller, Patricia Miller Medina and Valerie Miller; her uncle, Larry Brown; and many extended family members.
