Douglas Reaves of Dothan, Houston County, Alabama, passed away on December 28, 2010, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 31, 2010 at the Reaves Chapel Cemetery, Reaves Chapel Road, Wilcox County, Alabama.Douglas was a resident of Wilcox, County, Alabama and graduated from Wilcox County High School and Troy University and served in the Alabama National Guard. He has resided in Dothan, Alabama for about ten years and worked as a mortgage broker. He was an enthusiastic Troy football fan and supporter. He was a member of a close and loving family. He will be greatly missed.Douglas was born in Selma Hospital, September 2, 1945, to James Thomas, Sr. and Martha Knight Reaves. He was the youngest of twelve children and is survived by two brothers, Charles Roger Reaves, Willard Savage Reaves; and six sisters, Billye Reaves Kennedy, Frances Reaves Gaines, Doris Reaves Tait, Marjorie Polly Reaves Fairly, Fabris Reaves Dunnam, Linda Reaves Luker, and Carrie Lucile Rayburn Meeker a cousin raised by his parents; also, he is survived by many nieces and nephews, some of them his own age, who grew up with him. He was preceded in death by three brothers, James Thomas, Jr., Steven Eddison and Laban Oram Reaves. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
