Dr. Robert Paul Paul Wendland

Dr. Robert Paul Wendland Born in Milwaukee, WI on October 9, 1925, went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2018. He is survived by his wife Donna C. Wendland of Dothan, AL., his 4 children: Ken Wendland of Philadelphia, PA, Paula Hebert of Dothan, AL, David Wendland of York, SC, and Betty Gordon of Pompano Beach, FL, 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Bob was a United States veteran serving both in the US Navy- World War II, and US Army as a MASH unit physician in the Korean War. He was in good standing with North Broward Medical Center since 1961. He was honored as chief of staff in 1963-64 and 1972-73, and chief of family practice from 1986-88. Bob loved being a physician and didn’t retire until his mid-eighties. After living in Lighthouse Point, FL for over 55 years, Bob and Donna moved to Dothan AL in 2015 to live with their eldest daughter. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11:30 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 3012 West Main Street, Dothan, AL, with Bob’s son, Pastor Ken Wendland officiating, assisted by son-in-law Pastor David Gordon. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
