Earline Grace

Ms. Earline Grace was born to the late Ed and Ella Fair Grace in Newville, Alabama on October 20, 1922. She departed this life on Thursday November 10, 2016.

The family moved to Dothan, Alabama where she grew up before moving to Birmingham, Alabama and later moved to Detroit, Michigan. Her early years were cultivated being an active member in church. She loved serving others and was a member of the Nursing Guild at Palestine M. Baptist Church, and Christian Tabernacle. She was an active member of the Eastern Star. She was a lady of many hats. Earline had a passion for helping children become educated. She was a foster grandparent in several Dothan City Schools.

Earline was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Cooper Jr. and George F. Cooper, and a sister Carrie C. Tellis.

She leaves to cherish her memory two loving daughters, Josephine Allen of Dothan, Alabama and Christine Cooper of Elizabeth, New Jersey; a goddaughter Anne Marie Robinson of Deltona, Florida; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 12 noon Wednesday November 16, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Willie Barkley officiating. Burial will follow in Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 12 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
