Early Douglas "Doug" Andrews, a resident of Midland City, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at a local hospital. He was 83 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Benny Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1-2 pm.

Mr. Andrews was born on October 10, 1936 in Dale County and lived in Midland City all of his life. He worked with Twitchell for over 45 years. Mr. Andrews was opinionated and would definitely share his thoughts when needed. He loved his family and was protective of them and of his time spent with them. Mr. Andrews loved baseball, he enjoyed coaching little league baseball in Midland City. He enjoyed football, especially Alabama football, Roll Tide!

Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by his father, Bascom Andrews, his mother, Ester (Bright) Andrews, his sisters, Foye Bass, Edith Harold, and Norma Ray Creamer, and by his brothers, Roy Andrews, and Toy Andrews.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Rebecca Andrews; his daughters, Angie (Mike) Wells and Virginia (Donnie) Dowling; his grandchildren, Garrit (Lacy) Snell, Doug Walters, and Jessica Gaskill; his great-grandchild, Easton Snell; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial Date September 23, 2020 Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Benny Cole officiating.
