Earney T. Lambert

Earney T. Lambert, a resident of Headland, AL, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center following an extended illness. He was 84.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm.Mr. Lambert was born on May 14, 1925 in Holly Pond, Alabama. He graduated from high school in 1943 in Cullman, AL. He was employed with the Marshall Brothers Dairy Farm as a herdsman for 35 years and worked at Granberry Grocery Store in Headland prior to his retirement.Mr. Lambert was preceded in death by his parents, Arnie and Jesse Lambert, his brother, Milton Lambert, his 2 sons, Rickey Lambert, Euel Lambert, and 1 daughter Delby Lambert, and his grandson, Travis Lambert.Survivors include his wife, Wanda Lambert; his children, Buel Lambert, Bobbie Comalander and her husband Jerry, Charles Osborne, Sherry Bryson and her husband Darrell, and Sandy Wiggins and her husband Brian; his grandchildren, Amy Smith and her fiancé Hugh Kirkland, Ashley Comalander, Jessica Raley and her husband Hal, Earney Carpenter, Nikki Carpeneter and her fiancé Kevin McKinney, Whitney Bolt and her husband Joseph and their unborn great-grandson J. T., Shane Thompson, Chastity Thompson, Courtney Wiggins, Mallery Wiggins, Breanna Wiggins, Shannon Payne and her husband Rick, Ray Lambert, Matthew Lambert, Terry Hicks, and Russel Hicks; his 11 great-grandsons and 4 great-granddaughters; his 2 sisters, Ressie Boatright and Betty Mitchell; several nieces and nephews also survive.Serving as active pallbearers will be Earney Carpenter, Darrell Bryson, Hal Raley, Joseph Bolt, Ray Lambert, and Gary Boatright. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Boatright Jr., Jerry Comalander, and Hugh Kirkland III. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
