SSG Eddie Lee "Sugarfoot" Wright US Army Retired, 80, a resident of Ozark passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at his residence.

Memorial Services will be 10 am Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home with Keith Newby officiating.

Mr. Wright was born February 25, 1934 in Cleveland, OH to the late Monroe Wright, Sr. and Idell Moore, and spent the early part of his life there. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served for 7 years as a pilot involved in Guam military activities. He then joined the U.S. Army and served as an aviation specialist and pilot for over 21 years spending tours in Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Wright married Ruth Blanchard Wright in 1970 and unto this union came a daughter Edna Michelle Wright. Following his military career he was employed locally at Farley Nuclear Plant, Hayes International, and the Houston County Sheriff's Department prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister.

Survivors include his biological daughter Edna Michelle Wright; 1 other daughter Renita Blanchard; 2 other sons, Harold Bernard Annie Blanchard and Jeffrey Darryl Blanchard; grandchildren, Latrice Meadows, Lafaron Burch, Ann Smith, Edwin Harris, Edward Wright, Exavier Wright, Kevon Bates, Bernard Blanchard, Jr., Tahi McNeally, Perez Melvin, and Jalia Watkins; great-grandchildren, Xaeden Wright, Dashawn Walker, and Emmeri Smith; a sister Katherine Cowan; a brother Alfred Wright; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
