Edward J. Knoebel

Edward J. Knoebel, a resident of Dothan passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at his residence. He was 80.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home.Mr. Knoebel was born on November 17, 1929 in McGregor, Iowa and lived the early part of his life there. He was a Veteran of 2 tours in the Vietnam War and retired from the U.S. Army after over 20 years of service. Mr. Knoebel was a member of Harvest Church, the VFW, and he was a Mason. Mr. Knoebel was preceded in death by two children Kenneth and Candy.Survivors include his wife Bessie BJ Jackson Knoebel of Kinsey; children, Eddie Guy Knoebel Rhonda of Keola, HI, John Knoebel Lana of Dothan, Denise Haggard of Rome, GA, Lee Knoebel of Daleville, Kenya Engmann of ND, and T.J. Knoebel of Dothan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
