Elaine G. (Watkins) Rogers

In the evening hours of Wednesday, March 29, 2023, Elaine G. Rogers quietly left her earthly home to reunite with a host of happy family members in Heaven. What a happy reunion that must have been. She was 73 years old.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, April 2, 2023 in Ashford City Cemetery with Rev. Charles Goldsmith and Deacon Darren Henry officiating. The family will receive friends at Sunset Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 4-6 pm.

Elaine was born on March 13, 1950 in Alabama to the late Damon and Annie Mae Sewell Watkins.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Sonya (Kenny) Moore and Nick Rogers; her grandchildren, Elaina Chelsea (Garrett) Gilley, Colby Moore (fiancé, Ireland), Destiny Rogers (Kameren Ivey), and Hunter Rogers; her two great grandchildren, Aiden and Cloe Grace Gilley; her sister, Faye Watkins; her sister-in-law, Geraldine Rogers; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Danny Watkins, Jerry Watkins, Jimbo Watkins, Hunter Rogers, Colby Moore, and Damon Love.
