Elizabeth Ann Conrad, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2023, in Abbeville, Alabama, following an extended illness. She was born on December 30, 1940, in Ariton, Alabama, to Howard Fralish and Lorene Nolin Parker, both of whom preceded her in death.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00am Friday, September 8, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your local animal shelter.

Elizabeth was a woman of grace and elegance, known for her gentle nature and generous spirit. She was a beacon of love to her family and friends, creating an atmosphere of warmth and kindness wherever she went. Her loving nature extended to animals, which she adored profoundly. She was a frequent donor to local animal rescues, ensuring that every creature had a chance at a better life.

Elizabeth was a woman of many talents and interests. She was a caregiver by nature, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was an avid gardener, taking great joy in growing beautiful, vibrant plants. Her love for the culinary arts was evident in the delicious meals she prepared for her family and friends. As a young woman, Elizabeth was a majorette and a model. Graduating from Headland High School, class of 1959, she was crowned Homecoming Queen her senior year. She competed in the Miss. Tall Atlanta Beauty Pageant in 1960, where she showered the judges with her beauty and grace. She enjoyed watching Ballet and the Radio City Rockettes. Later in life, she worked as an Administrative Assistant to Dr. Silvernail.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, Thornell Conrad, and her sister, Verdean Klava. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness in her children, Dara (Richard) Reed of Eufaula, AL, Georgina (Jay) Luedecke of Tallahassee, FL, and John Fleming of Dothan, AL. Her granddaughter, Rachel Aman of Hahira, GA, will forever cherish the memories of her loving grandmother.

Elizabeth's life was a testament to her loving, generous, and gentle nature. She lived her life with grace and dignity, touching the lives of everyone she met. Her love for her family, her compassion for animals, and her zest for life will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Elizabeth Ann Conrad, a woman of grace, kindness, and love, will forever be remembered for her beautiful spirit. Her life was a testament to the power of love and kindness, and she leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew her. May her memory continue to be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
