Elizabeth Spear Copeland

Elizabeth Spear Copeland, a resident of Newton passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 48.

Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Dunn officiating and Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.Mrs. Copeland was born on March 16, 1961 in Troy, AL and lived the early years of her life in Jack, AL. She attended Zion Chapel School and was a graduate of Wallace College and a 2009 graduate of Troy University with a major in accounting. Mrs. Copeland was a bookkeeper and has resided in the Dothan area since 1992.Mrs. Copeland was preceded in death by her parents William Judson Spear Sr. and Anita Louise Spear and her brother William Judson Spear Jr.Survivors include her children, Timothy Stewart of Dothan, Clayton Alexander Copeland of Newton, Jessica Miley of Newton, Deanna Grantham of Midland City; 8 grandchildren, Annabella, Hailey, Peyton, Landon, Holden, Sarina, Austin, Abigail; a brother Jerald G. Spear of Jack; a sister Anita Spear Grant of Glenwood; former husband and father of her children Donald E. Copeland of Dothan. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
