Elizabeth "Liz" Martin Poulnot, a loving, faith-filled, and kind soul, passed away on May 3, 2023, at Westside Terrace in Dothan, Alabama. Born on February 10, 1930, in New Brockton, Alabama, Liz was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of many with her joyful spirit and unwavering faith.

Liz attended school in New Brockton, where she cultivated a love for learning and a strong sense of community. She was a wonderful cook who took great pleasure in gathering with and feeding her loved ones, nourishing both their bodies and souls. As a meticulous and excellent seamstress, she used her talents to create beautiful clothes and memories for her family.

Liz loved to laugh and took great joy in her church community. After meeting the love of her life, Liz and Jim embarked on a journey that allowed them to see a bit of the world, traveling with his Army career. Upon returning to Dothan, they lived their dream, enjoying a full life, attending Calvary Baptist Church, socializing with their church friends, having fun, and worshiping the Lord. Spending time with extended, close family and spoiling the grandchildren was their life together.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to devoted caregiver Joyce Frazier, who was there for Miss Liz for over eight years. They would also like to express their gratitude to Westside Terrace and the staff for their compassionate care during her time there.
