Elvis L. Mayes

Elvis L. Mayes, age 66 of Ozark, AL, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday July 13th, 2016. He grew up in Knoxville, TN and is a member of Chalkhead Baptist Church, Ozark, AL.

Mr. Mayes was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Alfred Sr. and Colena T. Mayes and his brother Howard Alfred Jr.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Kathy Yearwood Mayes, Ozark; his son, Sean L. Rebecca Mayes, Florida; his daughter Kelly LeAnn Jason Hinde, Colorado; his granddaughters, Coralyn and Cambria Mayes, Florida; his twin sister Elvarez Bruce Bryant, Tennessee; his faithful dogs Mason and Dixie and many nieces, nephews and beloved family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Berry Highland Memorial on Thursday, July 21st at 10 a.m. with a service to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dannie Webster will be officiating. A private burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Window World Cares. A charity close to Elvis' heart that supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
