Elwynn Burr Dennis

Elwynn Burr Dennis, 60, of Dothan passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at his residence.

Memorial services will be held 2 pm Monday, January 6, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Rd., Dothan, AL, 36303.

Mr. Dennis was born October 1, 1953 in Pensacola, FL and lived there the early part of his life. He graduated from the University of West Florida with a degree in physics and was employed with Farley Nuclear Plant as a Health Physics Technician for several years until his retirement. Mr. Dennis adored his family especially his grandson and enjoyed tinkering in his workshop. He was preceded in death by his father Mack E. Dennis.

Survivors include his wife Beverly Dennis of Dothan; a daughter Rigel Keffer of Blytheville, AR; a grandson Eddie Keffer of Blytheville, AR; his mother Inez F. Dennis Pittman of Pensacola, FL; a brother Ed Dennis Theresa of Slidell, LA; 3 sisters-in-law and 4 brothers-in-law; several very special nieces and nephews also survive.
