Enos Santwain McKinzie, known affectionately as Enos to friends and family, lived a life that embodied the essence of joy and resilience. Born on October 25, 1976, in the bustling city of New York, Enos's journey began with the vibrancy and rhythm of an era that would shape his love for music and laughter. On June 6, 2024, Enos's melody gently faded as he passed away peacefully in Dothan, Alabama, after a brave battle with an extended illness.
Enos was a graduate of Dothan High School, where he played football. His infectious smile and his "hey cuz what's up" greetings, and the "luv you" goodbyes will be missed by all.
Enos was preceded in death by his father and birth mother; his brother, Billy Ray McKinzie, Jr.; sisters, Terunjai Yashica Williams and Latrese Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Latamaria Monique McKinzie; daughters, Morgan and McKenzie Myhand; son, Cartrell Bright; his mother, Addie McKinzie; brother, Lucius Rashaad McKinzie (Latakia); sisters, Peggy McKinzie and Adriann (Nikki) Cathey; in-laws, Samuel and Faye Raybon, Tamara Robinson, Lamar and LaTara Raybon; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of Enos's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 15, 2024, in the Sunset Memorial Park Chapel. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest in the Crestlawn Cemetery.
