Erika Hedwig Baker

Erika Hedwig Baker, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019. She was 76. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, May 5, 2019 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday one hour prior to the services. Mrs. Baker was born on November 12, 1942 in Konigshofen, Germany and lived there the early years of her life. She moved to Florida in 1967 and moved to the Wiregrass in 1972. Mrs. Baker helped her husband, RJ, in the ministry to children while also raising her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, fishing, taking care of her tropical birds, gardening, cooking, and taking care of her dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents August Schweser and Frieda Schweser. Survivors include her husband, RJ Baker; her daughters, Sandra (Frank) Baker-Booth and Sharon (Carl) Baker-Setterholm; her 6 grandchildren, Sean Booth, Katie Booth, Ashlynn Setterholm, Gracie Setterholm, Virginia Setterholm, and Sophia Setterholm; her brother, Paul Schweser; by her children by heart, Rhonda (Warren) Gilliard, Rosie (Carmillo) Arcos, Johnny (Andrea) Boyette, Aubrey (Dominique) Boyette, Anne Blaum, and Heather (Derreck) Womack; and a host of family, friends, nieces, and nephews.
