Ernest Frank Bane, Jr.

Ernest "Frank" Bane Jr. passed away on May 9, 2022. He was 66 years old.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Frank was born on December 7, 1955 in Grand Island, Nebraska. As a young man, Frank would work on his family farm and drive on the farm. This led him to become a long-haul truck driver. He would drive for more than 32 years before retiring. He and his wife, Cheryl, loved to travel and their adventures had brought them to Alabama to open Family Time Campground in 2019. Frank never met a stranger and would always make time for his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by who all knew and loved Frank aka "Fuzzy".

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Frank Sr. and Bernadene Bane; and 2 sisters, Caroline Caudill and Patricia (Trish) Griess.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Bane; his children, Josh (Sam) Karr, Jenette (Michael) Fuller, William (Kylee) Bane, Ricky Kirk Jr., and Samantha Kirk; his 9 grandchildren; his 2 sisters, Jean (Pat) Johnson and Christine (Marcel) Vallen; and a host of extended family and friends.
