Ethan Garner

June 26, 1992 — April 19, 2014

Ethan Garner, 21, of Dothan went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at a local hospital of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Ethan’s life celebration services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Wednesday, April 23, 2014 with Rev. Don Clark, Brother Bill Richoux and Brother Nate Smith officiating. Graveside services will be held in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 pm until services begin at 6 pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Ethan Garner Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 344, Midland City, Alabama 36350.

Ethan was born June 26, 1992 in Houston County and resided in Dothan all of his life.  He was a 2010 graduate of Northview High School.  Ethan was employed as an apprentice inside wireman with Miller Electric.  He was a volunteer with the Regional Land and Water Rescue where he served as a horse posse director in search and rescue and also served at Camp Victory in Samson, AL.  Ethan was a member of IBEW Chapter 443, Columbia Manor, and Rainbow Meadows Baptist Church.

Ethan was preceded in death by his grandfather Durell Franklin Garner.

Survivors include his mother, Kim Scott Chatham; his father, Allen Garner; his brother, Ryan Garner; his two sisters, Amanda Garner and Ashley Garner; his step-brothers, Tanner Chatham and Colton Chatham; his step-sister, Brittany Chatham; his grandparents, J. B. and Crissie Branton and Linda Garner; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Serving as active pallbearers will be T. C. Snell, Steve Murkerson, Justin Richardson, Dustin Steward, Eric Chandler, and Justin Wilkerson.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Michael Chaney and the Regional Land and Water Rescue Unit.
