Eugene Neil Pollan, Sr.

December 26, 1949 — September 15, 2020

Eugene Neil Pollan, Sr. born December 26, 1949, entered the Lord's presence on September 15, 2020. He was born, raised, and lived most of his life in the Dothan area. He graduated from Dothan High School and the University of Alabama where he played trombone in the Million Dollar Band. He met his wife of 48 years, Roxanne Ammons Pollan there while attending University of Alabama. He went on to play in the Troy State Community Band, the Moonlighters, SEACT, and in Calvary Baptist Church's orchestra. He was a faithful member of Victory Family Church. He was the owner and operator of Pollan Woodworking for 37 years. He loved serving others in many ways, and his whole life was a mission field. He never met a stranger, and he loved to tell others about his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Elmer Newell Pollan and Daisy Dell Brookins Pollan and his sister Linda Pollan Culpepper. He is survived by his loving wife Roxanne Ammons Pollan, daughter Bonnie Pollan, son Neil Pollan (Abbey), grandchildren Alexa Pollan and Eban Pollan, brother Paul Pollan (Rebecca), brother in laws, Johnny Culpepper (Phyllis) and Ricky Ammons (Jane), and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will take place on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 2:00pm at Victory Family Church 3225 Headland Avenue, Dothan, Al 36303. Please wear a face mask to adhere to state orders. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Victory Christian School 3225 Headland Avenue Dothan, Al 36303.
