Evelyn Davis

Evelyn Davis, a resident of Dothan, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at her home with her family by her side. She was 93 years old.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Dr. Jim Sanders officiating and Robert Byrd directing. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the “In Christ Name” Fund c/o First United Methodist Church, 1380 West Main Street, Dothan, AL, 36303, or to Dothan Rescue Mission, 216 East Crawford Street, Dothan, AL, 36301, or to Gentiva Hospice, 2740 Headland Avenue, Dothan, AL, 36303.

Mrs. Davis was born in Rodgersonville, Alabama and spent her childhood in Birmingham where she was a graduate of Birmingham Southern College. She spent her life mastering her talents in ceramics, hooked rugs, and sewing heirloom clothing for her girls and grandchildren. She was a member of the Dothan Service League and the Thursday Luncheon Club for over 40 years. Mrs. Davis was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Dothan. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas and Lillian Crowder Fulks, her husband William Lewis Davis, and a grandson William Brian Price.

Survivors include her daughters, Lillian Ann Robison, Susan Price, and Barbara Mike Thomas all of Dothan; grandchildren, Jim Mary Beth Price of Anniston, AL, Scott Robison of Atlanta, GA, Brett Brook Robison of Birmingham, AL, and Courtney Thomas of Dothan; great-grandchildren, Jessica Price of Dothan and Olivia Robison of Atlanta, GA.
