Evelyn Vaughn

Evelyn Vaughn, 61, of Dothan passed away Friday, August 19, 2011 at her residence.

rnFuneral services will be held 3 pm Monday at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Dereck Youngblood and Rev. Howard Valentine officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 pm until 3 pm Monday. rnMrs. Vaughn was born March 14, 1950 in Amite, Louisiana and she lived the early years of her life there. She attended school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Mrs. Vaughn worked in the food service industry as a caterer for several years. She resided in Grand Junction Colorado for six years prior to moving to back Dothan in 1992. Mrs. Vaughn was a member of CCI in Dothan. rnSurvivors include her husband Donnie Vaughn, Dothan; sons, Joey DeMello, Dothan, Donald Glenn Tracey Vaughn, Pensacola, FL, Brian Christy Vaughn, Pensacola, FL; daughters, Tammie Lawson, Dothan and Lisa Bob Danzey, Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Preston Vaughn, Courtney Justin Morgan, Jacob Danzey, Brianna Vaughn, Georgia Danzey, Hannah DeMello, Olivia Lawson, Chase DeMello, Karma DeMello, Scout Lawson and Stella Lawson; brothers, Bob Courtney and Ronnie Courtney; sister, Hazel Ann Andy Drotleff; several nieces and nephews. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
