Everal C. Lackey, a resident of Hartford, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. He was 76.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, September 6, 2021 in Sunset Memorial Park with CH (1LT) Gary W. Riddle, Jr. officiating and Stephen Messer having the honor of playing Taps for Mr. Lackey's dedicated military service.

Mr. Lackey was born on February 18, 1945 in McAllen, Texas, where he lived his early years of his life. Being he was a "military brat", Mr. Lackey moved to different places growing up. He joined the Army and proudly served his country. After his military service, he moved to Dothan in 1992. Mr. Lackey was very patriotic. He loved listening to country music, flea marketing and watching Alabama football.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eloise and Elmer Lackey; like a son, Randy Domingo and his special K-9 companion, Woof.

Mr. Lackey is survived by his dearest friends, Connie Payne and her daughters, Laura West, Samantha Brown, Kristie Hogan; Bill and Donna Lewis and Terry Butler; his faithful K-9 companion, Jack.
