Fanchion Palmer Crosby

Fanchion Palmer Crosby, a resident of Dothan passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019. She was 71 years old. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Cloverdale United Methodist Church with Dr. Mike Shirah officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Fanchion was born on November 22, 1947 in Dothan, AL. She attended Dothan High School and was employed with General Steel. She met the love of her life at Headland Avenue Baptist Church and they were married for 48 years. Fanchion had a lovely soprano voice. She and her spouse ministered in the Wiregrass for 50 years. Fanchion wrote gospel songs and poetry. Her hobby was "junkin'" (buying and selling). Fanchion accepted Jesus Christ as Savior at the age of 7. She was a precious daughter, wife, mother and sister. She was preceded in eternal life by her parents, George Palmer, Sr. and Bernice Palmer; sisters, Nell Davis, Elwin Gunnels, Eloise Scott and Narell Bennefield. Survivors include her husband David Crosby; two sons, Kirk Crosby and Craig Crosby, all of Dothan; granddaughters, Haley and Hannah Crosby of Slocomb; sister, Betty Jefferies; brothers, George Palmer, Jr. and Warren Palmer; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Burial Date February 14, 2019 Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Cloverdale United Methodist Church with Dr. Mike Shirah officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
