Ferrell Jackson, 61, a resident of Dothan passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Baxter, Bob Dixon, and Chip Anderson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of Rusty Jackson, 510 E. Wayne Road, Dothan, AL.
Mr. Jackson served in the U.S. Army and worked at AAA Cooper Transportation for 19 years. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rita Jackson.
Survivors include his father, Ray Jackson; his daughter, Lindsay Morgan and her husband Chris; his grandson, Jack Morgan; his cherished long-time girlfriend, Janie Owens; his brother, Rusty Pam Jackson of Dothan; his sisters, Glenda Chuck Harbin of Birmingham, and Resee Blake Phillips of Dothan; a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Strawder, David Creech, Marty Cobb, Alan McNeal, Jared McNeal, and Robert Blount.
Ferrell leaves this earth to meet his Maker, after a long and hard-fought battle with leukemia, with the deep love and affection of his family and friends.
