Frances Lorene Davis

Frances Lorene Davis, 78, of Cowarts, AL passed away Thursday January 30, 2020 at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday February 3, 2020 at New Freedom Church, 115 Depot Street, Webb, AL 36376. Mrs. Davis was born December 24, 1941 in Henry County, Alabama. During her younger years, she moved around with her family before returning to Ashford. She lived in Ashford until moving to Cowarts in 1980. Mrs. Davis was employed with Ansell, then found her career with the Houston County School System as a bus driver. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, fishing, reading mystery, western, and romance novels, and being a motherly figure to everyone that knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Laura Davis; her siblings, Earl Davis, Jean Davis, William Royce Davis, James Davis, and Katherine Davis. Survivors include her children, Michelle Davis (Jessie) Poitivient, Michael (Megan Deese) Davis and Chris (Stephanie Hardy) Davis; her grandsons, Thomas Poitivient, Gavin Davis and Kelton Davis; her granddaughters, Caitlyn Marie Davis, Hayden Brooke Davis and Madison Brooke Davis; 8 step-grandchildren; her brother, Loyce Davis; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday February 3, 2020 at New Freedom Church, 115 Depot Street, Webb, AL 36376.
