Frank Lescher, 78, a resident of Dothan passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at his residence.
A memorial Mass will be held 10:30 am Thursday, March 19, 2015 at St. Columba Catholic Church Chapel with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating and Robert Byrd of Sunset Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Columba Catholic Church, 2700 West Main Street, Dothan, AL 36301.
Mr. Lescher was born January 19, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois and was employed with Honeywell as a manufacturing engineer. He resided there for over 40 years until moving to Redlands, California. Mr. Lescher was relocated to San Diego, California for several years prior to his retirement in 2003. Mr. Lescher resided in Dothan for the past 11 years. He loved playing baseball and enjoyed watching sporting events. Mr. Lescher also had a love for music, he played the drums in a band with 4 of his friends. He was a member of the Catholic Faith.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ellie Lescher; his two sons, Frank Raymond Lea Lescher and Thomas Joseph Deanna Lescher; his daughter, Theresa Diane Len Shockley; his grandchildren, Alexandra Lescher, Frank Lescher and Kendall Lescher; his two brothers, Jimmy Lescher and Bobby Lescher; his sister, Carol A. Mulvaney; several nieces and nephews.
