Franklin Jackson Smith, 72, formally of Dothan, died Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in Gulf Coast Medical Center.

rnFuneral services will be held 2 pm Friday in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6pm-8pm Thursday. rnMr. Smith was preceded in death by his brother, James Earl Worrell. rnMr. Smith was born November 7, 1939 in Houston County and he resided the early years in Columbia. Mr. Smith lived in Dothan most of his life and he was employed with City of Dothan and Smith Brothers Construction Company. He loved to listen to country music. rnSurvivors include two sons, William T. Lisa Smith, Pansey, Frankie Farrell Smith, Dothan; his daughter, Mary Ann Joseph J. Collins Burge, Dothan; three grandchildren, Brandon Smith, Josh Kolonusz, Dylan Smith; his brother, Jimmy Ray Smith, Dothan; several nieces and nephews. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
