Fred William Eiker, II, a resident of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at a local hospital. He was 83. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 12 noon at Cornerstone Church with Pastor Bobby Marks officiating. Fred was born on March 24, 1935 in Cranbury, New Jersey and spent his younger years there. Fred was a member of the Air National Guard for five years. He owned and operated a tractor trailer company in Pennsylvania. After that, he went to work for Ionics as a water treatment specialist. While working for Ionics, he transferred to Farley Nuclear Plant in Dothan and retired in 2002. Fred enjoyed target shooting and watching NFL football and NASCAR. He was an usher at Cornerstone Church for several years. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Anna Eiker; and his sons, Robbie Sanders, Jr. and Joseph Sanders. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Eiker; his children, Fred (Patricia) Eiker, III, Karl Eiker, Barry (Teresa) Eiker and James (Jill) Sanders; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Karla (George) Munson and Jane Seger; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews.
