Freddy Owen “Boomer” Gibson, 53, of Dothan died at his residence Sunday, September 11, 2011.

rnFuneral services will be 10 am Wednesday at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Raymond Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm Tuesday. rnMr. Gibson was born August 17, 1958 in Dale County and he lived the early years of his life in Coffee County. Mr. Gibson resided in Houston County most of his life and was employed with Liddon Furniture for the past 8 years. He was an avid Auburn Tiger and Nascar fan. rnSurvivors include his mother Mollie Gibson of Dothan; two brothers, Leon Gibson and Wade Gibson, Dothan; five sisters, Lugene Alvie Parker, Victoria, AL, Joyce Austin Lee, Jack, AL, Gail Welch and Faye Clark, Dothan, Cathy Williams, Hamilton, GA; several nieces and nephews. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
