Fredrick "Fred" Everett Doty

Fredrick "Fred" Everett Doty of Dothan passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at the young age of 74, at Southeast Health after an extended illness. Fred was born on August 1, 1945 in Lansing, Michigan but spent most of his life in Dothan, where he married the love of his life and his wife for over 30 years, Ruth Fesler. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie; his father, Leslie; and brother, Paul. Fred is survived by his wife, Ruth; four children, Beverly (Hugh) Hodge, Cheryl Sanchez, Maria Lockett and Marcus Doty; and six grandchildren, all of Dothan. He was a loving husband and father. He will be missed by many. The family will have a private ceremony at a later date. "We think about you always, we will talk about you often, you will never be forgotten, we will hold you close in our hearts, and there you will always remain to walk and guide us through our lives, until we meet again."
