Gabriel Jackson, Sr.

Gabriel Jackson, Sr, a resident of Dothan passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at a local hospital. He was 29 years old.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Louis Frank Jackson, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Gabriel was born September 1, 1987 in Dothan, Alabama and has resided here all of his life. He was a 2007 graduate of Houston County High School. Gabriel loved being surrounded by his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his wife and children. He was a fan of all types of music and took great care in the way he dressed. Gabriel was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Taylor.

Survivors include his wife, Resheda Jackson; his children, Gabriel Jackson, Jr., ZJohn Damion Jackson, and Lyric Gabrielle Jackson; his father, Louis Frank Jackson, Sr.; his brothers, Louis Jackson, Jr., Alden Jackson, Bill Bell, Louis Jackson, II; his sisters, Yolanda Jackson, Francine Chapman, Kimberly Jackson, and Christina Jackson; his mother-in-law, Lisa Weatherington; his sisters-in-law, Stephanie (Jamal) Gadlin and Krystle Jones; his brother-in-law Marcus Poke; a special brothers, Tony Jackson, Brandon Beacham, Derrick Wigfall, and Demichael Wigfall; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends also survive.
