Georgia Lee Mauldin Brady, 86, of County Road 43, Newton died Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Fitzgerald Nursing Home.
rnFuneral services will be held 11 am Saturday, May 21, 2011 at New Covenant Church with Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Dothan City Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services on Saturday. rnMrs. Brady was born October 5, 1924 in Coffee County, Alabama and she lived the early years of her life in Cool Springs Community. Mrs. Brady was a homemaker and the widow of James R. “Bud” Brady. She was a charter member of New Covenant Church. rnMrs. Brady was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Denise Brady and nine brothers and sisters. rnSurvivors include, two sons, James Brady and his wife, Naomi, Newton, Gene Brady and his wife, Karan, Dothan; her daughter, Shirley Fowler, Fitzgerald, GA and her former son-in-law, Gary Fowler, Fitzgerald, GA; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Velma Davis, Enterprise, Sybil Mauldin, Ozark and Mavis Mauldin, Pace, FL; several nieces and nephews.
