Georgia Mae Friski

Georgia Mae Friski, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019. She was 98. Memorial services will be held at 9 am on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allie Freeman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Foundation of Love, c/o Wesley Place on Honeysuckle, 718 Honeysuckle Road, Dothan AL, 36305 or to PEO, c/o Pam Jay, 2 Branchwood Place, Dothan, AL 36301. Mrs. Friski was born February 28, 1921 in Colorado. She lived in Vona Colorado in her earlier years and was a graduate from Vona High School. She met her future husband in Denver, Leon G. Slacum. She moved to Federalsburg, Maryland and resided there until 1963 before moving to Washington DC where she met Carl Friski. Mrs. Friski moved to Dothan in 1975. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, Bill Slacum; and her daughter Lucille S. Davis. Memorial services will be held at 9 am on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allie Freeman officiating.
