Gerald Dewayne Goodwin

Gerald DeWayne Goodwin, of Dothan, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 following an extended illness. He was 56.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, June 18, 2009 in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Coley Holloway officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 5-7 pm.Born on August 13, 1952 in Dothan, Alabama to James E. Goodwin, Sr. and Mervis Sheppard Goodwin, Wayne lived in the Dothan area most of his life. He was of the Baptist faith and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.Survivors include two brothers, James Lee Goodwin, Pansey, AL, and their children, Crystal Dawn Goodwin and Hanna Goodwin, David Goodwin, Dothan, AL, and his children, Tracy Rick Littlefield and Wendy Richardson; his three sisters, Judith Merritt, Dothan, AL, and her children, Judy Harvey Burch and Bambi Needham, Sharron Goodwin, Dothan, AL, and her children, Shannon David Reed and Jordan Goodwin, Josie Greg Janau, Santa Barbara, CA and her daughter, Amanda Amir Sehic; his niece, Teresa Godwin; his nephews, Michael Mary Goodwin and Robert Lisa Goodwin; a special niece, Erin Reed; many other nieces, nephews, friends, and his beloved dog, Angus also survive. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
