Gerald Loyd White

Gerald Loyd White, 61, of Dothan passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at his residence.

Memorial services with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.Mr. White was born on May 31, 1949 in Cedarville, KS and lived there the early years of his life. He moved to Seattle, WA and graduated from high school there. He then joined the U.S. Coast Guard and served for 20 years prior to his retirement in 1991. Mr. White was later employed with SEACOR Marine as a Chief Engineer for 12 years and later with Gulf Fleet Management until his recent illness.Survivors include his wife Mildred White of Dothan; daughters, Kathy Hager Allison and her husband James of Macon, GA and Brenna Marie White of Dothan; a grandchild Aidan Taylor Floyd; brothers Harold White of California and Ralph White of Washington; a brother-in-law Milton Mims; sisters-in-law Patricia Lee Pfitzner and Teresa M. Lamberth; a niece Venus Byrd; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
