Gertrude Toni Donelli

Gertrude Toni Donelli, of Dothan, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at her home. She was 93.

rnMemorial services will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Brannon Stand Road with Brother Kurt Valley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. rnToni was born July 26, 1918 in McDonald, Pennsylvania to William and Phoebe Deichler and lived the early years of her life there. In 1956, she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and in 1958, she along with her husband Mayo moved to Ozark, Alabama to help where the need was great. In 1966, they moved to Dothan. Toni was employed with Martin’s Shoe Store and later at Claudine’s Department Store at Northside Mall for many years. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Dothan West Congregation. rnToni is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Mayo Donelli; three brothers and three sisters. rnShe is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Janice Donelli of Dothan; three grandchildren, Michael Rachel Donelli of Dothan, Tangie Juan Gonzales of Enterprise and Brian Donelli of Dothan; six great-grandchildren, one great great grandchild; and two sisters; in addition, Kurt Valley holds a special place in the family. rnThe family would like to thank the social workers and nurses at Gentiva Hospice for the exceptional love and support shown to Toni and the Donelli family.
