Gladys Clark, a resident of Dothan passed away on Thursday morning, July 22, 2010 at Extendicare Health and Rehab following an extended illness. She was 84.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home with Julian Shaw officiating. Graveside services will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.rnMrs. Clark was born on April 25, 1926 in Barbour County to the late Samuel and Effie Sheppard. She moved to Dothan in 1955 where she was a seamstress and kept the nursery at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity for about 30 years. The new church nursery was dedicated in her honor for all the years she ministered to the children. She enjoyed sewing, doll collecting, gardening and devoted her life to the care of children.rnShe is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Loyd Clark and her son, Justin Clark. rnSurviving relatives include three daughters, Judy Slenker and her husband Bud of Dothan, AL, June Langford and her husband Travis of Lynn Haven, FL, and Jana Hale and her husband Billy of Dothan, AL; also, Pam Skinner and her husband Ronnie of Dothan, AL; one brother, three sisters, eleven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.rnGladys Clark led a simple life filled with love and natural beauty. She will be greatly missed. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
