Glen Eugene Anderson

September 13, 1960 — February 25, 2015

Glen Eugene Anderson went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly, Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at his home in Midland City, Alabama.

It was his sincere wish that we not have a funeral but a celebration of his life.  Celebration of life services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, March 1, 2015 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-3pm on Sunday. Flowers are being accepted or memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.

Glen was born September 13, 1960 in Bainbridge, Georgia to Glen Melvin Anderson and Ivonne Mitchell Anderson. When Glen wasn’t working at Publix, remodeling houses, or building furniture, you could find him fishing or spending time with his family. Glen was a man who met no strangers and once a friend, always a friend. The world would be a much better place if we could all meet each day with the child-like excitement he carried with him. His huge heart and smile were contagious. Glen was the life of the party with a quick joke and a long hug for everyone in the room.

Let us not be sad that he is gone, but grateful for the time God allowed us to have him and the way he lived. The life lessons he taught us should be with us always – work hard, treat people right, measure twice and cut once.

Glen is preceded in death by his father, Glen Melvin Anderson.

Glen is survived by his loving wife, Janet Anderson, Midland City, AL; his mother, Ivonne Anderson, Donalsonville, GA; his brother, Jimmy Anderson, Donalsonville, GA; his sisters, Judy Rick Thomas, Warner Robins, GA, Wanda Johnny Decker, Warner Robins, GA, and Glenda Bill Jones, Dothan, AL; his sons, Ashley Lindsay Anderson, Bainbridge, GA, Brian Dana Anderson, Tallahassee, FL, and Rick Tracy Littlefield, Dothan, AL; his daughter, Brittany Zaccagnini, New Jersey; his grandchildren, Lydia, Isabella, Courtney, Brittany, Dalton, Jerrah, Andrew, Braxtyn, and Brantlee; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Burial Date: January 1, 1970
