Glenda Joy Granberry

Glenda Joy Granberry, 60, of Dothan passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011 at a local hospital.

rnFuneral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Aubrey Sullivan and Rev. Larry Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Ashford City Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. rnGlenda was born February 10, 1951 in Dothan, AL and lived in Houston County her entire life. She was a graduate of Rehobeth High School. She worked at Higgins Electric for several years prior to working in the accounting department at Wesley Manor. Glenda enjoyed music, especially playing the piano. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Dothan where she was a Ladies Sunday School teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Ray Granberry and her mother Hazel Paulk. rnSurvivors include her son Jason William Granberry of Ashford; a granddaughter Alyssa Carolina Granberry; a sister and brother-in-law Claudette and David Baxley; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Tom Shirley, Shirley Trammel, Jo Granberry; a brother-in-law James Murrell; several nieces and nephews; special friends Sherri Williams, Bunny Rawlings, and Tami Hinson.
