Glenda Glover Tager of Taylor, passed away after battling a long illness Thursday, September 23, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was 54.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Autism Society of Alabama, 4778 Overton Rd., Birmingham, AL, 35210.rnMrs. Tager was born on February 8, 1956 in Dothan and lived the early years of her life in Midland City. She resided in Columbia, SC for 17 years prior to moving to Taylor in 2002. Mrs. Tager was a volunteer with the Pelion Elementary School in special needs and the Special Olympics. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. John Wessner and the staff of CVS Pharmacy at Brannon Stand Rd, and Linda and Alverna for their special friendship throughout her illness. She will be missed by all and will always be known as a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. rnMrs. Tager was preceded in death by her parents T.J. and Betty Faye Glover, a sister-in-law Gladys Crews, and a brother-in-law Charles Mitchell.rnSurvivors include her husband Jimmy Tager; a son Dillon; sisters, Theresa Andrews and her husband Mason of Dothan and Beverly Wilson and her husband Lamar of Dothan; sisters-in-law, Susan Mitchell of Lexington, SC and Diane Tager of Lexington, SC; brothers-in-law, David Mitchell of Lexington, SC, Ronnie Mitchell of South Congaree, SC, Horace Tager of Lexington, SC, and Tommy Tager of Pelion, SC; several nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends near and far.
