H. Manning Sanders

H. Manning Sanders, a resident of Cottonwood, AL passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at his residence. He was 59 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at First United Methodist Church with Dr. James B. Sanders, III officiating. Private graveside services will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church parlor. Manning was born March 7, 1959 in Houston County and lived in Dothan most of his life. He was a 1977 graduate of Houston Academy and a 1982 graduate of Auburn University. His banking career spanned for over 37 years with several years in executive management, most recently as President and CEO of Trinity Bank until his retirement. Manning enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Houston County Personnel Board, First United Methodist Church, and served on the Board of Directors for Trinity Bank. Survivors include his wife, Melissa Sanders; son, Joe (Senthy) Sanders; daughter, Eva (Seth) Spooner; grandchildren, Manning Sanders, Mary Daniel Sanders, and Sanders Spooner; mother, June Sanders; brother, Bryson Sanders; sisters, Alberta Keener and Sally (Tom) Sinclair; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Sanders, Jr. Burial Date November 2, 2018 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at First United Methodist Church with Dr. James B. Sanders, III officiating. Private graveside services will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church parlor.
